Understand, identify and analyse complex structures in accordance with current AML requirements.

The purpose of this training course is to strengthen Relationship Managers’ ability to identify and analyse complex structures. It lays out the general concepts involved, distinguishes between domiciliary companies and operating companies, and clarifies the regulatory definition of a complex structure.

The course then uses concrete examples to illustrate the differences between complex and non-complex structures. It presents a practical method for identifying and analysing complex structures, together with the role of a detailed chart of the structure.

Lastly, the course addresses the AML issues associated with complex structures. Here, it covers risk analysis, KYC requirements relating to the structure and its beneficial owners, as well as transaction reviews, to ensure rigorous management of the structure’s AML risks.
