VisionCompliance SA is a Swiss company based in Geneva, whose aims are the design, organisation and marketing of professional continuing education courses, as well as the creation, production and marketing of digital professional training programmes.

Definition

In these General Terms and Conditions:
  • Any person who registers for a VisionCompliance training course is referred to as a "participant".
  • The VisionCompliance training centre refers to the diploma courses presented on its website: visioncompliance.ch
Acceptance of the General Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions apply as soon as a participant registers for training at the VisionCompliance Training Centre. By registering for training, the participant agrees to be bound without reservation by these General Conditions.

The future participant must first read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety and accept them. Participants who do not accept the General Terms and Conditions may not register for training at the VisionCompliance Training Centre.

Training programme

The training programme can be found on the VisionCompliance website. VisionCompliance reserves the right to change the course dates before the start of the training. Any such changes will be noted immediately on the website.

Examination

All courses at the Training Centre culminate in a written and oral examination. Successful completion of the examination entitles the candidate to a diploma or certificate. Examinations are subject to examination regulations, which form an integral part of these General Terms and Conditions.

Who can register for a course?

Anyone with banking or financial experience in Switzerland or abroad. They may be in employment or looking for work. People with no banking or financial experience but who have a university degree in law may also enrol for training.

Registration

When you register for a course, you will receive an invoice which is not binding on you. Registration for a course leading to a qualification is not definitively confirmed until the course has been paid for. Payment must be made 3 weeks before the start of the course.

Selection of participants

In order to ensure a uniform level of knowledge and professional experience among course participants, VisionCompliance reserves the right to select the participants who register for a course and to refuse an application. VisionCompliance is not obliged to explain its decision.

Cancellation of registration by the participant

All cancellations of courses for which the participant has received confirmation of enrolment must be made in writing. For any cancellation received less than 10 working days before the start of the course, VisionCompliance is obliged to charge 30% of the course registration fee. A participant may be replaced by another participant at any time prior to the course, at no extra cost; this change must be notified in writing.

Cancellation of training by VisionCompliance

If the number of participants is insufficient or for reasons of force majeure, VisionCompliance reserves the right to postpone or cancel the course. Registrants will be informed immediately. If the participant has already paid for the course, VisionCompliance will reimburse the cost of the course within 30 days of notification of cancellation.

Technical data and access to courses
All courses are given in a virtual classroom. Participants must have a computer and Internet access. The recommended equipment and system to follow the courses are:
  • PC or Mac (with i7 processor and 16 GB RAM)
  • Webcam (computer camera may suffice)
  • Headset with microphone (depending on the computer, the audio may not provide sufficient listening quality and the microphone may not allow the speaker to hear the participant clearly)
  • Minimum incoming speed of 20Mbps (you can check your Internet connection with a speed test to check the speed: www.fast.com
  • Windows 10 (latest update), MacOs 12 (Monterey)
  • Chrome or Edge browsers, latest update (you can check the browser version at www.whatismybrowser.com
  • Not be connected with a VPN, Citrix or similar application

Before the course begins, participants receive the information they need to connect to the virtual classroom. VisionCompliance cannot be held responsible for any technical problems encountered by a training participant.

Course materials and intellectual property

The course materials are sent to the participants' private address before the start of the course, except for those living in France. In this case, the course materials are sent to the employer's address. The course materials provided are the intellectual property of VisionCompliance. Course materials are also available in digital format in the training area.

The participant may not pass on the course materials to a third party or make any partial or total reproduction(s) of them, by any means whatsoever, for the attention of third parties.

Data protection

VisionCompliance has drawn up a data protection declaration. This declaration is available in the footer of the visioncompliance.ch website.

Applicable law and competent courts

Swiss domestic law alone is applicable, with the exception of the Federal Act on Private International Law (LDIP).

In the event of any dispute concerning the performance or interpretation of these General Terms and Conditions, the courts of the Republic and Canton of Geneva shall have exclusive jurisdiction, with the exception of any appeal to the Federal Court.

Modification of the General Terms and Conditions

VisionCompliance SA reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice. The new General Terms and Conditions come into force as soon as they are published on the visioncompliance.ch website.
